Community Festival '09

Elim Church Newcastle joined with the communities of Heaton, Sandyford & Shieldfield to hold a big summer festival at the August bank holiday weekend.

Situated on the big grassy space of City Stadium, just off Warwick Street and near the new Ouseburn Community Centre, there were funfair rides, a huge climbing wall, crafts, clowns and even a welly-throwing competition!

Elim had a stall alongside the other attractions, with hand printing for the children and information available about all the activities and groups available at Elim and The Ark.

Over thirty people from Elim helped out and attended the day, with hundreds from the community enjoying this well organised event. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
